ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.
The Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City is taking steps to bolster its entertainment and culinary offerings, beginning with a major upgrade of the region’s only certified giant-screen IMAX theatre.
The theatre was recently equipped with a cutting-edge digital projection system, enhanced surround-sound system with brand-new speakers, revamped seating and even new menu options at the concession stand.
For groups hungry for more than just entertainment, the resort is also substantially improving its dining options, including the opening of four new eateries this spring, when Tony Luke’s, Marketplace Express, Perry’s Pizza and Casa Taco & Tequila Bar will join the ever-evolving list of dining options in the resort’s Marketplace.
Casa Taco & Tequila bar will be especially group-friendly, as it will feature 50 different tequilas, a private party room, and indoor and outdoor seating.
And this summer, a new offering will debut that will add some oomph to both the dining offerings and diversions at the popular resort. Tropicana is adding Chickie’s and Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar, which will be located just off the casino floor and the Boardwalk. The two-story restaurant and sports bar will offer an extensive menu showcasing fresh crab and mussels , and also have plenty of fun on hand. In addition to more than 50 TV screens, Chickie’s and Pete’s will also offer the latest in audio and video technology, including the cutting-edge PLAY2 sports bar concept, where “amusement pods” enable customers to completely create their own interactive entertainment experience.
