SEATTLE, Wash.
Seattle developer R.C. Hedreen Co. has announced plans for a major convention hotel on Ninth Avenue and Stewart Street, just two blocks north of the Washington State Convention Center.
Upon its scheduled opening in 2017, the 80-story building will reportedly be the largest convention hotel north of San Francisco and one of the largest on the Pacific Coast.
The project will provide 1,500 hotel rooms, 150,000 square feet of banquet and ballroom space, meeting rooms and 150 affordable housing units. The tower will also provide underground parking for 700-800 vehicles. Design concepts and a hotel operator have yet to be selected.
