Cowboy Connection: New Air Service Links Calgary, DFW

DFW AIRPORT, Texas

WestJet, the second-largest air carrier in Canada, has launched daily nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport and Calgary, Alberta, utilizing Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. WestJet serves a total of 85 destinations in Canada, the United States and Mexico, with hubs in Calgary and Toronto.

WestJet features a partnership with American Airlines, DFW's largest carrier and hometown airline, which includes a code-sharing agreement and the ability to earn rewards for passengers of either airline.

WestJet's arrival marks the eighth new passenger airline and fifth international carrier to begin service at DFW in just over the past two years, continuing a period of unprecedented expansion of service for the airport.  Carriers at DFW have also added 13 new international destinations and 13 new domestic destinations in that time.
