Emily Hammond, Hilton Waikoloa Village - Waikoloa Village, Hawaii

What service can you provide to groups that they normally might not receive?

Being located on Hawaii Island, on the sunny leeward side, gives Hilton Waikoloa Village an advantage in being able to provide unique services. These include mahogany canal boat rides, seaside cabana massages, romantic dinners at Buddha Point, Lava Palooza outdoor pool parties, or an outdoor luau.

What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?

Within Waikoloa Beach Resort, we recommend Malolo Lounge at Hilton Waikoloa Village, which has nightly live entertainment; Sansei's at Queens' Marketplace with late night Karaoke on the weekends; Lava Lava Beach Club which is a "toes in the sand" restaurant and bar at Anaeahoomalu Bay. In Kailua Kona (a 30-minute drive from the resort) Lulu's offers a local experience and Huggo's on the Rocks is ocean front with nightly live & local entertainment.

Can you recommend a good place to take a stroll?

Our Museum Walkway showcases $7 million in Asia Pacific and Hawaiian artwork during a stroll around the resort.  There's a coral and lava pathway from Hilton Waikoloa Village to Anaeahoomalu Bay.  Also within Waikoloa Beach Resort is a Petroglyph Trail and historic Kings' Trail.  Waikoloa Beach Drive is the perfect place to walk if you're going to Kings' Shops, Queens' Marketplace or even Waikoloa Golf.

Are there any quirky places we should check out?

Hawaii Island is full of adventure. Quirky places include green sand beaches, black sand beaches, Twilight at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the Summit of Mauna Kea where you'll find amazing sunsets and the largest number of observatories in the world.

A party of 12 wants to have dinner right away. What restaurant can accommodate last-minute requests of this size?

Our resort restaurants can easily accommodate last minute requests—KPC—Kamuela Provision Company for sunset lanai dining; Imari for Japanese cuisine; Dona & Toni's Pizza for casual Italian cuisine; Kirin Chinese and Lagoon Grill for the best burgers on the Kohala Coast.

What’s a unique event that has taken place at your property?

Luau or concerts right on the beach at Anaeahoomalu Bay (A-Bay).

Concert events with picnic style dining or food & wine festival setup at Waikoloa Bowl – an outdoor amphitheater at the resort.

Television Productions that include Wheel of Fortune, Duck Dynasty, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Ready for Love.

Helicopter Orchid Flower Drop over the Kona Pool.

Given our tropical setting all year round we can offer Fireworks to highlight an event anytime.
