Alberta Bounces Back: New Website Updates Flood Recovery

CALGARY, Alberta

Following the severe recent flooding in southern Alberta, Canada, the recovery process is well underway and most of the province's travel destinations and attractions are open for business.

Travel Alberta, the official tourism marketing organization for Alberta, Canada, has even launched a dedicated website to provide travelers, travel agents, planners and tour operators with the latest information on tourism-related flood recovery updates: www.AlbertaTravelUpdate.com.

“Over the past week, Albertans have come together in the flood recovery – a true testament to the kindness and hospitality of our communities,” said Bruce Okabe, chief executive officer of Travel Alberta.

Alberta’s two major airports, Calgary International Airport and Edmonton International Airport, are operating as usual. The Trans-Canada Highway between Calgary and Banff is open as of Wednesday, June 26.

Travel Alberta plans to continually update AlbertaTravelUpdate.com with the latest information, in cooperation with tourism destination organizations, tourism operators and the Government of Alberta.
