Makeover and New Moniker for D.C. Lodging

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Melrose Georgetown Hotel has completed a multi-million dollar redesign that includes a renaming, a bold public space, a newly concepted restaurant and lounge (Jardenea), sleek guest rooms and a luxury library boasting more than 1,000 classic titles.

Formerly known as The Melrose Hotel, the hotel’s revamped presence in the stylish Georgetown district influenced the new Melrose Georgetown Hotel moniker. “We wanted to update the hotel to appeal to today’s cosmopolitan traveler while keeping the historic tradition and unique qualities of Washington, D.C.,” says General Manager Jale Hashimi.

The reinvented Melrose Georgetown Hotel includes 240 spacious rooms and suites that are filled with contemporary, D.C.-inspired artwork and clean-lined furnishings in a palette of grey, navy and cream.
