What service can you provide to groups that they normally might not receive?
Our concierge service can provide our guests with an itinerary and contact numbers to assist them if there are delays on their routes to meetings and events.
What are your bar or nightclub recommendations?
It always depends on the size of the group and music preferences, but Lavo, Tao, Avenue, 1 Oak and Marquee are my favorite clubs for large groups especially. Nightlife changes very fast in NYC…
Can you recommend a good place to take a stroll?
Central Park and The Highline are great places to walk and “escape” the hustle and bustle of the NYC streets. If you prefer to ride a bike, you can borrow one of the hotel's new Bobbin Bikes. Since Central Park is so expansive, seeing it all by foot would take quite a while!
Are there any quirky places we should check out?
Williamsburg in Brooklyn has tons of amazing brunch spots and for the best dim sum, I recommend heading to Doyers Street in Chinatown. Chelsea is also a fun neighborhood to explore with great views from The Highline and light bites at Chelsea Market.
What is an unusual request from a group you’ve had?
A group once asked me to help them in a scavenger hunt. It turned out to be a fun day!
A party of 12 wants to have dinner right away. What restaurant can accommodate last-minute requests of this size?
Surprisingly, there are plenty of options such as Budakkan and Tao for Asian cuisine, Del Frisco’s Steakhouse, Benjamin Steakhouse, Atlantic Grill for Seafood at West Side and East Side, Megu for Japanese food, Artisanal French Bistro, Cuban Victor’s Café, Orsay French Brasserie, Churrascaria Plataforma Brazilian Steakhouse, Otto Pizza from Mario Batali, Hakkasan for Chinese food and The Smith for casual American cuisine by Lincoln Center.
What’s a unique event that has taken place at your property?
We hosted a terrific private group yoga class on our Private Rooftop garden.
