NEWPORT NEWS, Va.
The world’s first Hampton Inn & Suites, located at 12251 Jefferson Ave. in Newport News, Va., recently completed a $3 million renovation.
The project included a newly designed lobby and fitness center, as well as complete renovation of the property’s public areas, exterior, meeting space, guest rooms and suites.
All guest rooms and suites received a fresh new decor. The suites now feature residential amenities, such as a 42-inch flat-panel television, a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, flat top electric range and microwave. The suites also have separate bath and vanity areas.
The hotel has 120 guest units and a small meeting room and board room, hosting groups from 15 to 40 in size.
