The Sunshine Act’s reporting requirements, which went into effect on Feb. 1, 2013, place spending caps on food and beverage services as well as quality limits on hotels and restaurants. The regulations make hosting pharmaceutical gatherings difficult, especially in New York City where hotel and catering costs are appreciably higher than other locations.
