NEW YORK CITY
Faced with limitations imposed by the Physician Payments Sunshine Act, pharmaceutical meeting planners are finding it increasingly difficult to select appropriate venues and dining options for industry events. With this in mind, Convene has developed a one-stop, flexible solution for hosting compliant events and meetings in New York City.
The Sunshine Act’s reporting requirements, which went into effect on Feb. 1, 2013, place spending caps on food and beverage services as well as quality limits on hotels and restaurants. The regulations make hosting pharmaceutical gatherings difficult, especially in New York City where hotel and catering costs are appreciably higher than other locations.
Convene’s new Pharmaceutical Meetings Packages (www.convene.com/pharma) provide biotech, drug manufacturing and medical device companies the ability to host productive meetings and events without stressing over the reporting guidelines and details. There are three tiered menu options to fit the needs of every type of meeting – from advisory board and investigator meetings to speaker training sessions and internal meetings. Meeting Planners will benefit from “built-in” meeting support from planning to day-of-production support – aiming to foster a stress-free and hassle-free solution for meeting planners.
Convene currently operates three modern conference centers in Manhattan – with two additional facilities coming online soon, at 101 Park Ave. in New York City, and in Tysons Corner, Va.
