Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has added two new Members to its exclusive portfolio of Four- and Five-Diamond meeting, convention and incentive hotels, and expanded the Big Box options within its portfolio, with the addition of the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Fla., and the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
In addition to becoming the newest Members of ALHI’s worldwide portfolio of 160+ Four- and Five-Diamond quality hotels and resorts that serve the meetings and incentive marketplace, the two hotels become the newest additions to the “ALHI Big Box 5-50 Collection.” The specialty segment within ALHI’s worldwide portfolio now features 27 member hotels and resorts that offer more than 500 rooms, feature over 50,000 square feet of meeting space, and have at least one 20,000-square-foot ballroom.
Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate becomes ALHI’s 20th Florida Member, and fourth Member in Orlando, joining the 750-room Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando; the tropical AAA Four-Diamond Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando®; and the 1,500-room, 230-acre Rosen Shingle Creek.
Surrounded by 36 holes of Greg Norman-designed championship golf, and 15 acres of pools and recreation, the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate features 720 recently renovated guest rooms plus 49 spacious two- and three-bedroom villas. The AAA Four-Diamond resort also offers 128,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space, as well as 70,000 square feet of outdoor event space.
The resort features the Leadbetter Golf Academy world headquarters, the signature 10,000-square-foot European-style Mokara Spa, a formal pool with private cabanas, a zero-entry family pool with a lazy river, a 9-hole pitch-and-putt golf course, a 24-hour full-service health club, two lighted tennis courts, a 24-hour business center, and seven restaurants and lounges that includes the popular Zen restaurant.
Since 1930 the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., has hosted presidents, world leaders, and inaugural balls. The landmark hotel, which is situated on 11 acres in a residential neighborhood, offers 832 spacious guest rooms and suites. The AAA Four-Diamond convention hotel has 24 meeting rooms, offering more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel’s seven unique ballrooms include a 15,718-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate 1,500 for a banquet, or 2,300 theater-style.
Additionally, the hotel has a resort-style pool and gardens, a complimentary fitness center, Robert’s Restaurant, a gourmet coffee bar, a lounge, a backyard fire pit, a sauna, a 24-hour business center, and high-speed wireless Internet access.
