QUEBEC, Canada
DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa, marking entry of Hilton Worldwide’s popular hotel brand into the Canadian province of Quebec. Formerly the Château Cartier, the prestigious property located in the National Capital Region unveils an updated look and enhanced amenities following an 18-month, $3 million revamp of the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas and amenities.
Set within a chateau-style property, the 125-room hotel debuts updated decor and amenities throughout all of the guest rooms, lobby and meeting areas. Guests will enjoy views at every turn with rooms that overlook the private golf course on which the hotel is set, as well as views of the Champlain Bridge, Parliament Buildings and Peace Tower throughout the property. In addition to the golf course available to guests, the hotel offers ample on-site amenities for guests seeking a little “R&R,” including a full service spa and hair salon, indoor saltwater pool and hot tub.
Well-suited for special events, the hotel offers over 21,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including 19 meeting rooms and first-class catering and event planning teams. Available for various types of events, a 6,302-square-foot Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 1,200 people theatre-style, and an outdoor gazebo overlooking the property’s grounds serves as a locale for outdoor ceremonies.
Dining options include Ekko de Brasil, an authentic churrascaria featuring a variety of 10 skewered meats carved directly at the table; and Le Bistronöme Restaurant & Bar offers a buffet breakfast and dynamic bistro dinner menu daily. Additionally, as the hotel puts an emphasis on local culture, DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa hosts regular special events with artists to debut new local artwork at the property.
Located in the heart of Gatineau, DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa is just 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) from Macdonald-Cartier International Airport and convenient to a variety of specialty shops, vibrant dining and nightlife available in the bustling and eclectic ByWard Market.
