Former San Diego Sheraton Makes Techie Transformation

SAN DIEGO, Calif.

The Declan Suites, formerly The Sheraton Suites, is now open and operating under new management, ushering in a hotel intimately linked to the heart of the city's musical and cultural soul.

This independent property offers 264 two-room suites with unrivaled comfort and proximity to the city's most vibrant cultural happenings. Set to undergo a multi-million dollar transformation, The Declan Suites will be revamped for the technology minded and culturally inclined traveler.

Referencing technology and music throughout the design concept, the property will take advantage of its prime location adjacent to San Diego Symphony Hall downtown. Integrating technology, music and aesthetics into an avant-garde concept, the transformation will be a total reconceptualization of the space. The revamp will begin with the hotel lobby in spring 2014.

Partnering with the design firm Design360unlimited, The Declan team has an innovative vision that intertwines technology, music and art creating a distinctive, utterly engaging vibe. Planned décor includes a live feed video wall, a communal technology area, local art, and a musically engaging lobby. The Declan Suites will also offer bike rentals, providing guests a green alternative to explore the city.

The Declan's name is meant to embody the hotel's assertive, individualistic persona. Each guest room comes with a separate sitting room, many of which are equipped with unrivaled views of San Diego's harbor.

In addition, the hotel offers a lively bar, a fully equipped fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi, a full range of business services with fast streaming capabilities and a skilled concierge team available at any time for guests' benefit.
