CLARKSBURG, W.V.
Neil Pompan, president & CEO of Pompan Hospitality Global, Inc., has announced an agreement with the City of Clarksburg, W.V., to assist in the development of a conference center and hotel in its Central Business District.
Recognizing the significance of understanding what the market can produce in the region, a market and feasibility study will begin in January 2014 and will take 10 to 12 weeks to complete. The City of Clarksburg has contracted with Pompan Hospitality Global (PHG) to conduct research and provide an assessment as to the opportunities of the study.
City Manager Martin Howe stated, “It has been a long-term goal to have a facility of size to host various conferences and events within our Central Business District”. Howe continued, “These types of potential amenities can be a catalyst upon which we will continue to grow our business sector and a useful tool in contributing to the commerce in Uptown Clarksburg.”
PHG’s Research Team will begin conducting the feasibility study the week of January 13, 2014. PHG officials will be scheduling meetings with various community and business leaders during their visit to better understand the market and receive valuable input. The City will be assisting in setting up appointments for PHG Representatives.
