The new Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah is scheduled to open in Dubai on January 1, 2014.
The luxury property is located 35 minutes from Dubai International Airport and offers a 650-foot private beach which can be used for private events, in addition to 319 guest rooms and a 600-person ballroom.
The hotel's grand opening celebrations will be included as part of the emirate's attempt to set the world record for the largest fireworks show, with more than 450,000 choreographed fireworks set to launch from 400 locations throughout Dubai on New Years Eve.
