The board of directors of the Greater Houston CVB has elected Sonia Garza-Monarchi as chair of the organization. She is the owner of Garza Protocol Associates LLC, a small consulting business she launched in 2004, and the former chief of Houston's protocol and international affairs office.
Garza-Monarchi is taking over the position from Alex Brennan-Martin, and will be the board's first female and second Latino chair, in its 50-year history.
