LAS VEGAS
The Las Vegas Marriott has just completed a $4.3 million guest room renovation, it was announced today by Keith Gamberg, general manager. Additionally, the hotel has transformed two Hospitality Suites on the second floor into 600 square feet of new meeting space.
"Our company has a focus on the Millennial Consumer - the person seeking spaces as expansive as their imagination, who can mix work and personal time seamlessly, and who seeks a property that meets personalized experiential needs, whether it be the latest technologies, an ambiance of serenity, or a location in the center of it all," notes Mr. Gamberg. "As a result, our redesign appeals to these guests who gravitate toward substance and style plus a boutique-like feel, and calm ambiance that is just off the craziness of the Strip."
The 278-room boutique-style hotel - which features all-suite guestroom accommodations - is a non-gaming property located just two blocks from the famed Las Vegas Strip. It is a perfect choice for leisure and business travelers as well as groups that seek mental and physical havens in a hectic world as it is not located along the 4.2-mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South that is home to many of the largest hotel, casino, and resort properties in the world.
The guest room renovation encompassed the following elements:
• Complete hard and soft goods replacement
• New RFID lock systems
• Addition of in-room safes to accommodate iPads, laptops, smartphones, etc.
• Replacement of coffee tables with brown leather ottomans to provide more flexible, adjustable living space for guests
• Addition of outlets on all lamps and nightstands to accommodate charging of multiple electronic devices
• New design aesthetic anchored by a tall, rich headboard with a snakeskin style padding and reading lights. The overall color palette is a rich warm one featuring golds, browns, and reds.
• 200 of the suites feature French doors which separate the bedrooms from the living room. Living rooms feature 42-inch flat screen televisions and bedrooms offer 37-inch TVs, both with 60 channels.
• Luxurious new THANN amenities, a leading spa brand from Asia, which features environmentally friendly products and packaging and is against animal testing.
• New bathroom lighting
Additionally, the hotel's wireless high-speed Internet access has also been completely upgraded.
According to Mr. Gamberg, this renovation nearly completes the refurbishment of the entire hotel. "Our first floor - including the restaurant and lobby - were redone approximately 18 months ago to reflect Marriott's Greatroom concept. In mid-2014, we will renovate all of the meeting venues on the 17th floor including the Ballroom."
The property has more than 4,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
