Darren Green has been named senior vice president of sales at the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (LA Tourism).
He will lead the citywide convention sales team and the hotel sales team, as well as the destination services team.
During his lengthy career in the hospitality industry, Green has worked for brands including Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels Corporation, Nikko Hotels International, KSL Resorts.
He most recently worked withStarwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he served as director of sales for the New York metro market, overseeing the sales of seven hotels including Westin, St. Regis, Sheraton and W properties.
He began his career in Detroit as a sales manager at the Westin Renaissance Center.
