SAN FRANCISCO
The Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC) has announced the keynote speakers for their 2014 Sustainable Meetings Conference, slated for April 15-17 at the San Francisco Hilton, and has also extended its Early Bird price discount for registrants until February 21.
Welcoming show-goers and setting the tone for the event will be KoAnn Vikoren Skrzynizarz, CEO and founder of Sustainable Brands, and Jennifer Willig, founder, World Water, set to speak at 5:10 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. respectively on Tuesday, April 15.
Skrzynizarz is a veteran B2B media exec whose experience with the intersection of environmental and human issues in business goes back to the mid-1980s, when she organized conferences internationally on such topics as reducing paper waste and doing away with ozone-layer destroying chemicals. Willig meanwhile is the co-founder of WHOLE WORLD Water, a social enterprise uniting the hospitality and tourism sector to raise funds for clean and safe water projects around the globe.
