Atlanta Meetings Mecca Revs up Rooms

ATLANTA

Westin Buckhead Atlanta will begin phase three of its hotel-wide renovation project in April, remodeling 365 guest rooms. The $9 million room renovations are scheduled to be completed in August with the goal of helping guests feel better than when they arrived.

This is the third and final phase of the hotel's three-phase renovation to improve the guest experience including remodeling the guest rooms, hotel lobby upgrade and renovations of more than 30,000 square-feet of flexible meeting space.

The design scheme and furnishings of the new refined guest rooms will incorporate the Westin brand philosophy of using natural elements, subtle earth tones and rich textures to create a relaxing environment in each guest room. The spacious bathrooms will also be enhanced with new stone and walnut vanities featuring illuminated mirrors. Most king rooms will include a loveseat, which provides additional sleeping space for guests traveling as a family, as well as new 42-inch flat screen televisions.

Additionally, to enhance the world-renowned Heavenly Bed experience, the headboards will feature adjustable LED lights to allow each guest optimal reading light. Furthermore, guests can connect with friends, family and colleagues with outlets easily accessible at the nightstands and USB connectivity ports provided at the large desks.

Meeting and Event Space

The 4,430-square-foot Buckhead Ballroom is conveniently located on the lobby level and boasts a modern design for intimate receptions or large events. The renovated Grand Ballroom offers Buckhead city views in the pre-function area and features contemporary design accentuated by hand-blown glass chandeliers.

The hotel's smaller event spaces also provide an intimate setting for seated lunches and brunches. The East & West Paces rooms feature an adjoining covered outdoor terrace with comfortable teak furniture. Overlooking the main lobby, the Mezzanine has sweeping window views and artistic accents of Julian Schnabel and Tom Savage collections.

Adjoining the Mezzanine are the Peachtree and Ansley rooms, which both are popular choices for receptions. In addition, the hotel's central lobby features a communal table of rich colored Chamcha hardwood that is ideal for guests to collaborate with colleagues or relax with a cocktail.

The Westin Buckhead Atlanta is located at 3391 Peachtree Road NE.
