Carol Buckantz, Mara Xenos and Norman Wong

Oak Brook Hills Resort announced the appointment of Carol Buckantz as executive chef. She has more than 20 years of experience in the culinary industry and will oversee all food and beverage operations. Buckantz was previously the owner of Moveable Gourment in the Chicago area and later served as executive chef at Hilton Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomington, Ind.

In the resort's conference planning department, Mara Xenos is the new director of conference services and will oversee all event planning at catering at the resort, including corporate events. She previously served as director of conference planning at the Q Center in St. Charles, Ill. where she oversaw more than 700 onsite meetings a year. 

Norman Wong was appointed banquet manager, bringing 20 years of experience working in high-end hospitality and restaurant settings. He previously served as banquet manager with the JW Marriott Chicago and as a private catering manager with Wolfgang Puck. 

Oak Brook Hills offers 386 guest rooms and 42,500 square feet of IACC-certified conference space.
