The 98-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Durham/Southpoint in Durham, N.C., is now open for business. The hotel–located at 7807 Leonardo Drive–will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Leonardo Hotel One, LLC and managed by Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Located 10 minutes from downtown and 11 miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport, the property offers guests convenient access to Southpoint Mall, Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The open and bright lobby welcomes guests with a vibrant color palette of greens, blues and oranges. Thoughtfully designed rooms and suites offer separate living, working and sleeping areas. Plush mattresses, televisions, microwaves and mini-fridges enhance the guest experience. The bright, spacious living area provides a well-lit work area, ergonomic chair and entertainment area with a second television.
Complimentary hot breakfast is available each morning in the lobby area. Other hotel amenities include an indoor swimming pool, an exercise room, a full-service bar, valet laundry service, complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as fax and copy services. The hotel also offers two meeting rooms with 1,512 square feet of space to accommodate functions of up to 112 people.
