SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico
International Hospitality Enterprises (IHE), a leader in the development and management of award-winning hotels in Puerto Rico, continues to elevate their portfolio, and has completed property enhancements and renovations at Hotel El Convento, La Concha A Renaissance Resort, Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa, Doubletree by Hilton San Juan, and Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort.
"From intimate, historic luxury to family and business travel, our hotels cater to all our guest needs," said José M. Suárez, President of IHE. "The property renovations support our commitment to being the best in class and provide guests with a truly memorable experience."
Hotel El Convento
The historic AAA Four-Diamond property and former Carmelite Convent situated in the heart of Old San Juan is the ultimate romantic venue for a destination wedding. The hotel recently completed a $300,000 update of Salon Paoli, one of the hotel's venues for hosting intimate ceremonies and receptions for up to 80 people. The refreshed 1,500 square-foot space features crystal chandeliers, oak-framed mirror-lined walls and new flooring to go along with the updated décor.
La Concha, A Renaissance Resort
The chic Condado district's acclaimed beach-front hotel, known for its nightlife, lively lobby scene, and posh accommodations, is enhancing its distinguished ambiance with a million dollar guestroom refresh in its Ocean Tower, to be completed in the fall of 2014. The guestrooms, which offer stunning views of the Condado Beach and resort's main pool, will undergo a floor-to-ceiling update with new furnishings, including contemporary lamps, desks, chairs, night tables, and drapes, all in the resort's signature white color scheme. The hotel will also replace flooring in the 248 guestroom, including new bathroom tiles.
Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa
The beachside property located in Guanica, on the Southwest Coast of Puerto Rico, is refreshing all of their guestrooms with a neutral palate offset with vibrant hints of color, creating a modern "Caribbean chic" look and feel. The resort, which caters to adventure travelers, families and destination weddings, will complete the million dollar project in the fall of 2014, updating 106 rooms with new furniture and soft goods.
Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort
The family-friendly beachfront property in Isla Verde recently completed a refresh of their signature swim-up pool, which overlooks the breathtaking white-sand of Isla Verde Beach. The quarter million dollar project resurfaced the pool floor with white marble, added new mosaic decorative tiles, and updated the surrounding pool deck with coralina stone. The pool's swim-up bar, part of hotel's Papaya Oceanfront Swim Up Bar & Grill, was refurbished to reflect a more modern design. As part of a larger $12 million property renovation, the resort has plans to update the hotel's lobby as well as its 260 guestrooms with new furniture and bathrooms by the Winter Season of 2014.
Doubletree by Hilton San Juan
Business and leisure travel has become more relaxing at Condado's modern, full-service hotel with the addition of the new YeloSpa treatment room. The intimate room lies nearby the fitness area and hotel gardens, and features a Tibetan-inspired design with a purple and orange color palette, wood floor tiling, and a signature zero-gravity massage bed. A variety of customized services and treatments are now available for guests, including Swedish, reflexology, sports, and prenatal massages as well as facials and body wraps. A larger YeloSpa facility also opened in early April in the Gallery Plaza, which lies adjacent to the property, featuring eight treatment rooms, a salt water flotarium, steam room, rain hallway, and blow dry bar. Guests are able to charge services to their individual rooms.
