GMIC Seeks Planner Input on Key Green Issues

MARIETTA, Ga.

The Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC) and MindClick Global are conducting a research project related to Sustainable Meetings and Events, aiming to determine quantitative results on the number of green meetings occurring in the meeting & event marketplace, as well as an understanding of what types of items are being requested for green meetings.

Planners are invited to participate in this research study titled “The Green Meeting Marketplace.” The study is being conducted by MindClick Global, a leader in sustainability market research.

In the study, planners are asked to complete an electronic survey. Participation in this study is voluntary and you are free to withdraw your participation from this study at any time. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

The survey collects no identifying information of any respondent. All of the response in the survey will be recorded anonymously. You do have the opportunity to opt-in to receive additional information about green meetings for GMIC if you so choose.

While planners will not experience any direct benefits from participation, information collected in this study will benefit the meeting industry including planners, venues, hotels, and suppliers in the future by better understanding the landscape that currently exists for green meetings.

In addition an annual renewal of this survey is planned each year, so the combined responses will provide a benchmark for evaluation of changes occurring in the marketplace.
