St. Pete Beach Welcomes Hip Meetings Hotel

ST. PETE BEACH, Fla.

The Hotel Zamora, St. Pete Beach's first new hotel in more than 20 years, is slated to make its debut next month, adding modern charm to one of Florida's most coveted destinations.

Influenced by the architecture, design and feel of the rocky hills of Zamora, Spain, the contemporary, waterfront hotel will feature spacious, Mediterranean-style rooms and suites with high ceilings, crown molding, arched windows and Spanish-influenced touches in its wooden doorways and artwork. Built by Tatro Construction with architectural design by Design Styles, the hotel offers high-tech meeting and conference space, a marina with space for seven boats, fresh-water pool, fitness center and access to the Gulf of Mexico's pristine, white-sand beaches round out its offerings.

The Hotel Zamora will also introduce Castile, a Spanish-influenced destination restaurant and rooftop lounge, lead by locally renowned Executive Chef Ted Dorsey. Offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, as well as room-service, Castile's locally sourced, seafood-inspired menu will include a large selection of tapas-style dishes, soups, salads and creative entrees (such as Coconut Curry Braised Short Rib), with sides that pay homage to the hotel's international roots (Yucca Chorizo Hash, Queso Cotija Fingerling Potatoes and more).

Cuba-Fernandez Design, whose portfolio of high-end hospitality design projects includes the St. Regis Resort in Puerto Rico, The Ritz-Carlton in South Beach, and Acqualina Resort in Sunny Isles, Florida, orchestrated the unparalleled interior design concept of both the hotel and restaurant.

A welcome change of scenery to St. Pete Beach, The Hotel Zamora will bring high design, delectable cuisine, style and energy to the area, with the opening expected in May 2014. Grand opening rates start at $199.

Developers and partners Henry Suarez and Dr. Kiran C. Patel are the visionaries responsible for bringing The Hotel Zamora into the realms of reality, and have been involved in the project since its inception.

"The anticipation is palpable," said Suarez. "We truly can't wait to welcome the community and visitors to The Hotel Zamora. Every detail, color and line has been carefully considered and crafted with the goal of providing a truly memorable hotel and restaurant experience for both area residents and guests from across the country."

Patrick Goddard, President & COO of Trust Hospitality, a partner and the operator of the hotel said, "We are proud to be associated with this hotel, which is certain to become an iconic feature of the Gulf's shoreline. It will be fun to bring change and excitement to this community."

The hotel offers about 7,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including an expansive rooftop terrace with 360-degree views.
