David Causton, the general manager of Chicago's McCormick Place convention center, was named regional director, convention center division by SMG.
He has served at McCormick Place since 2004, and helped guide the facility through its transition to private management in 2011.
In his newl expanded position he will have increased interaction with SMG leadership and more input into company planning initiatives.
