Officials of Shaner Hotels, a developer, owner, and operator that currently owns and manages more than 40 hotels, announced it has been selected to manage the Southbridge Hotel & Conference Center, located at 14 Mechanic Street in Southbridge, Mass.
Located within an hour’s drive of Boston and Hartford, the Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center is an elegantly restored historical property nestled along the scenic Quinebaug River. It features 203 guest rooms and more than 24,000 square feet of full-service meeting and event space for up to 500 people. The hotel and conference center combines evocative architecture with state of the art technology creating settings ideal for families, business travelers, small-to-large conferences, intimate dinners, weddings and social events.
Accredited by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), the hotel offers full catering services with custom menu planning for weddings and large gatherings. The restaurant, Visions, features an extensive breakfast and lunch buffet in addition to an a la carte menu. For a more casual setting, Shades Lounge offers a dinner menu, late night snacks and full-service bar.
