MOBILE BAY, Ala.
The Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau in Alabama has welcomed Al Hutchinson as its newest president and CEO, a position he’ll actively assume on July 1.
Hutchinson resigned from his previous role as vice president of sales and marketing at the Virginia Beach CVB in order to take on the new challenge. David Randel, the previous president and CEO for Mobile Beach CVB, had stepped down on May 31 in order to pursue other opportunities. He had served since 2012.
Married with two children, Hutchinson graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science marketing degree.
His initial tasks will include a review of the contemporary vision and strategic approaches of the Mobile Bay CVB. He will additionally meet with top local representatives and acquaint himself with the group’s ongoing efforts, including sales and marketing endeavors.
