California's Claremont Resort Hires New Director of Sales

BERKELEY, Calif.

General Manager Len Czarnecki is proud to announce the appointment of Marshall Jones as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa. Marshall brings over 20 years of progressive hospitality experience to the position.

As Director of Sales & Marketing at The Claremont, his leadership and vision will help direct the team to increase market share, improve results and further elevate overall guest satisfaction. Jones will oversee all aspects of budgeting, catering, advertising, public relations, social media and marketing at the property.

Marshall boasts a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry: Before joining The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa, Marshall served as Director of Sales & Marketing at the Fairmont San Jose for over 10 years. While there, Marshall effectively increased room revenues and boosted the hotel's RevPar index. Previously, he held positions with Marriott Hotels including Senior Sales Manager, Director of National Accounts and Director of Hotel Sales. He began his career in 1993 with Starwood Hotels at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.

Marshall holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia State University, Cecil B. Day School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. He and his wife and three children currently live in Santa Clara County. While not working, he enjoys the outdoors, running and music.
