Crawford Hotel Opens Inside Historic Denver Union Station

DENVER

Sage Hospitality announced the opening of The Crawford Hotel in Denver's Lower Downtown Neighborhood. The hotel is housed inside of the 120-year-old Denver Union Station, which recently completed a $54 million restoration.

The Denver Union Station Great Hall features 65-foot ceilings and 13 Colorado restaurants and retailers, which guests can explore when they are not utilizing the amenities available within the 112-room Crawford Hotel.

The Crawford Hotel is marketed as an "evolved luxury experience" that provides in-room iPad, free Wi-Fi, Tesla car service and complimentary access to The Oxford Club, Spa & Salon. A hotel ambassador will greet visitors and check them in via iPad.

The hotel's guest rooms reflect different eras of the building's 100+ year history, including "Pullman-style" rooms designed to represent private sleeping cars and evoke train travel at its heyday, "classic" guest rooms inspired by the Victorian era with high ceilings and windows, and "loft" rooms with wood timbers and high-vaulted ceilings.

The Denver Union Station and The Crawford Hotel feature more than 600 pieces of Western art, curated by Denver's NINEdotARTS. The Union Station is part of the National Register of Historic Places and expects to achieve LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Crawford Hotel offers more than 3,000 square feet of downtown meeting space, including six private event spaces and a 40,000-square-foot outdoor plaza. Direct light rail access to/from Denver International Airport will be available in early 2016.
