Liberty Group and Starwood Hotels announced that the Aloft Tampa Downtown has made its debut in the heart of downtown Tampa, Fla., following a two-year adaptive re-use project that has transformed the former Mercantile Bank office building into a hip hotel.
Aloft Tampa Downtown features 130 spacious, loft-like rooms, modern technology and a social atmosphere. The property also offers 685 square feet of meeting space that includes AV set up, including a 70” flat-panel TV and free Wi-Fi, plus easels, flipcharts, and boards.
With its location along the Hillsborough River and the Tampa Riverwalk, Aloft Tampa Downtown is walking distance to the University of Tampa, Tampa Convention Center, University of South Florida's new CAMLS facility, as well as many other popular local draws. The property also stands out as the brand's first hotel on Florida's Gulf Coast.
Additional hotel amenities include the Aloft brand's signature W XYZ bar located adjacent to the waterfront pool and a 24-hour fitness center.
