Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott announced the opening of the newest hotel at Port Columbus International Airport, which will bring the brand's new designs into Columbus.
The 121-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbus Airport will operate as a Marriott franchise, developed by RB Hotel Development on behalf of owner Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA), and managed by First Hospitality Group, Inc. of Rosemont, Ill.
Located at 4300 International Gateway and adjacent to the terminal, the property is only seven miles from downtown and offers business travelers access to Easton Town Center, Nationwide Arena and Ohio State University.
Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbus Airport and the CRAA engaged Rockbridge and its affiliates to design and develop the project. RB Hotel Development, LLC served as the development manager and RB Hospitality Advisors, LLC serves as the investment manager for the CRAA.
About the New Design
Fairfield Inn & Suites' transition to a Gen4 hotel for the Marriott brand includes amenities for airport travelers, including an expanded indoor pool, an updated fitness center and a 34-seat cocktail lounge with full-service bar and outdoor patio area. The breakfast area's signature farm table provides a central gathering place where guests can enjoy complimentary hot breakfast.
As the first Fairfield Inn & Suites in Columbus to highlight the brand's new design, guests are welcomed upon arrival with modern, bright decor and an updated exterior, signature tower, curved porte-cochere and glass entrance. Once inside, lodgers experience the hotel's open public space emphasizing natural light and connectivity options for business needs.
Inspired by nature, the hotel's "smart rooms and suites" feature living and working areas for guests to be productive. Each guest room includes a work area, mobile desk, ergonomic chair, task lighting and electrical outlets. The hotel also offers a meeting room with 416 square feet of space to accommodate functions of up to 24 attendees.
Additional amenities include an airport shuttle, valet laundry service and complimentary Wi-Fi.
