WASHINGTON, D.C.
Donald J. Trump, president and chairman of The Trump Organization, alongside Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, executive vice presidents of development and acquisitions, recently broke ground on Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C., the company's $200 million redevelopment of The Old Post Office.
The property's transformation is scheduled for completion in 2016, when it will become the newest addition to the rapidly growing Trump Hotel Collection.
"Our ballroom, meeting and event space will be the most luxurious of its kind on the east coast and our Presidential Suites will be the best worldwide," said Donald J. Trump. "It is my intention to do something really special for our capital - and it will be completed prior to November of 2016 - a very special date!"
Guest Rooms and Meeting Space
Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C. will feature 270 guest rooms, averaging more than 600 square feet, making them the largest in Washington, D.C., with 16-foot ceilings, large windows, restored historic millwork, and crystal sconces and chandeliers. In addition, two Presidential Suites will be located in the historic former offices of the Postmaster General. At 3,500 and 5,000 square feet, the three-bedroom suites will be among the largest in the country.
The property will offer a total of 36,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 13,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, the largest among D.C.'s luxury hotels. The Grand Ballroom aims to capture the Trump brand's elegance, with classical European motifs, and be suited for various meetings, conferences, weddings and social events.
Additional Amenities
Trump Hotel Collection will reinstate the 11th Street entrance on Pennsylvania Ave., which will serve as the driveway to the hotel's canopied grand entrance. The property's ground level will include world-class restaurants and luxury retailers located at both corners of the building on Pennsylvania Ave. Guests of Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C. will also experience a 5,000 square-foot super luxury spa and state-of-the-art fitness center.
