Dream Downtown will premiere its newly renovated multi-floor Presidential Suite this fall.
The hotel, located in the stylish Meatpacking District and lower Chelsea, is gearing up for a September launch of the 2,000-square-foot suite with a one-million-dollar makeover by Josh Held Designs. Distinctive features include a spacious garden terrace and glass-bottom Jacuzzi, as well as exclusive amenities, from a Sneaker Concierge to DJ Sommelier.
Josh Held, the brainchild behind the redesign of the suite, worked with his team of four architects and designers to custom develop the Presidential Suite for the New York City hotel.
Picture a striking, two-story suite with modern maximalist interiors mixing patterns and clean lines, and incorporating spherical textures inspired by the hotel's porthole facade. From upholstery to wall finishes, every material and surface is custom-made. Laid out beneath a charcoal plaster ceiling, the focal point of the sprawling living room is a petrified wood bar with gold sliding doors that open to a kitchenette featuring Italian imported beer on tap.
Guests can ascend one of two spiral staircases to reach the suite's private garden terrace alive with city-scaped plantings, fireplace, outdoor shower, and glass-bottom Jacuzzi that can be seen from the living room below.
On the main floor, the master bedroom reveals a California King bed in the center of the room with adjacent, Carrie Bradshaw-worthy walk-in closet. Inside the closet, Dream Downtown collaborated with celebrity hair stylists Frank and Leo Izquierdo to design a vanity complete with Champagne Bar, just begging for professional blowouts and make-up applications (which can be arranged). Also, hidden behind a millwork bookcase is a Murphy bed that unfolds into the living room for additional guests. The suite includes two bathrooms with the master bath featuring an over-sized glass enclosed shower utilizing advanced digital technology that seamlessly wraps water, sound, light and steam via a completely customizable system.
The Presidential Suite is designed for dynamic gatherings and events, as well as for guests who like to entertain. A Savant home automation system enables guests to control and enjoy their music of choice from any room in the suite via dedicated mobile app. Televisions are camouflaged by mirrors and feature next generation smart home technologies.
Dream Downtown's resident DJ Sommelier will be available to consult on guests' music experience and hire DJs to set the vibe with a curated playlist. Suite guests will also be able to kick it with the hotel's Sneaker Concierge, whose unparalleled network offers rare access to limited-edition sneakers available for purchase.
The newly renovated Presidential Suite will debut in September 2014 at Dream Downtown, putting the final note on the hotel's high-end and high-energy experience which already features two full-service restaurants, an organic juice bar, glass-bottom pool, Manhattan's only sand beach, One Of A Kind hair salon, living art gallery and two exclusive nightclubs.

Dream Downtown offers 315 loft-style rooms and suites, with Juliet balconies overlooking a sand-covered oasis with private cabanas, poolside bar and grill, and a glass-bottom pool that provides views for lobby on-lookers below.
