The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has reported that its CIS (Certified Incentive Specialist) certification program has seen great success since its launch in 2012.
With over 223 individuals from over 22 countries already certified; 40% of which are meeting, incentive and event planners, the program has proven itself to be a valuable resource for those who wish to elevate or reaffirm their knowledge of the incentive travel business.
“The CIS has equipped me with the relevant knowledge to deliver an excellent travel incentive program to my clients," said Keli K Mogotsi, Travel Operations Consultant at Uwin Iwin Incentives in Johannesburg. "It was also great interacting with other colleagues that attended the program where we shared various ideas."
Growth in the CIS community will continue in 2014 with upcoming programs in New York City Aug. 17-18, Amman, Jordan, Aug. 30-31, Oct. 12-13 in Las Vegas (in conjunction with IMEX America) and Nov. 13-14 in Rotterdam (during the SITE International Conference).
"We are determined to take the CIS program around the world and nurture the dialogue and high standards required to achieve excellence in incentive travel," said Fernando Compean, CIS Program Director.
