Meeting Professionals International named Darren Temple as chief business development officer. In this role, he will lead strategic business development and global sales planning for the association, building relationships with DMOs, hoteliers and global suppliers.
Temple will officially take over the role in September, and brings more than 25 years of industry experience to MPI. Most recently, he served as chief sales officer for the Dallas Visitors Bureau.
He also previously worked as a senior sales executive with both PSAV Presentation Services and Freeman.
Temple has been an MPI member for 15 years and served on the board of directors from 2012-2014.
