New Atlanta Attraction Boasts Ample Event Space

ATLANTA

The College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience officially opened to the public on Aug. 23 with a fitting, tailgate-inspired grand opening ceremony.

The 94,000-square-foot facility is a shrine to college football, with numerous interactive exhibits, and also a hive of compelling event spaces for planners to ponder.

The 50,000 square feet of unique event space includes a 45-yard indoor Playing Field that can accommodate approximately 900 people seated and up to 1,450 people standing. The attraction directly connects to the Georgia World Congress Center as well, allowing meeting attendees to easily transition from the expo floor to evening events at the Hall.

The College Football Hall of Fame relocated from its previous location in South Bend, Ind., to Downtown Atlanta, and features historic and contemporary artifacts, interactive multimedia displays, children’s activities and an ultra-high-definition 4K theatre.

“Venues like the College Football Hall of Fame open up a new world of possibilities for meeting planners who select Atlanta,” said William Pate, president and CEO, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Fans who visit the Hall of Fame can register their “All-Access Pass” with their favorite college football team, allowing them to receive personalized content at the Hall’s interactive exhibits.

The Hall is part of more than $1.5 billion in new hospitality development opening in Atlanta this year and the latest addition to the dynamic collection of attractions surrounding Centennial Olympic Park, including the World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, Inside CNN Studio Tour, Center for Civil and Human Rights, Philips Arena, Georgia Dome, SkyView Atlanta and The Children’s Museum of Atlanta.
