NEW ORLEANS
Le Méridien New Orleans, a Starwood hotel opening this winter, is partnering with with the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans and other local art institutions to offer guests free access to some top cultural treasures.
The offering is part of the Le Méridien UNLOCK ART program, designed to provide guests with a unique opportunity to “unlock” a cultural experience.
Guests of Le Méridien New Orleans will receive complimentary general admission during their stay to the institution simply by presenting their UNLOCK ART pass, which will be found in their guest rooms. Similar agreements are in place with the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art for a well-rounded cultural experience.
Le Méridien New Orleans will also participate in one of each of the local institution’s respective signature annual events including the New Orleans Museum of Art’s “Love in the Garden” on September 26 and The Ogden Museum of Southern Art’s “O What a Night!” on October 18. Le Méridien’s presence in each of these events will be influenced by distinctive experiences, such as their Sparkling aperitif hour.
Located on the corner of Poydras and S. Peters streets, Le Méridien New Orleans is across from Harrah’s Casino, adjacent to the Arts District and just a few blocks from the jazz clubs, restaurants and night clubs of the French Quarter.
Formerly the W New Orleans, the property is undergoing a major revamp and will open this winter as Le Meridien New Orleans. The transformation will feature 410 fully renovated guest rooms and corridors as well as a fully redesigned lobby, a new restaurant and bar, and reworked second-floor meeting space. The hotel offers more than 13,000 square feet of event space and is now accepting reservations for December 2014.
