Napa Bounces Back From Major Quake

NAPA, Calif.

Given the 6.1 magnitude strength of Sunday morning’s earthquake, and the extensive damage done to numerous historic structures, the town of Napa, Calif., and surrounding area appears to be quickly recovering.

Clay Gregory, president and CEO of Visit Napa Valley, issued the following update:

“At this time, it appears the majority of the damage was centered on specific areas in the city of Napa. The regions around Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga seem to have experienced minimal damage and disruption. For travelers coming to the Napa Valley, most businesses are open as usual, however, we suggest calling first to confirm your plans.”

Further info from Visit Napa Valley states that all businesses in the communities of American Canyon, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga were running on their regular schedules; many downtown Napa businesses have reopened as well. Visit Napa Valley is also maintaining a list on their website tracking the businesses that are now open.
