Michigan Resort Debuts New ‘Sun-Up’ Group Sessions

MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich.

Mission Point Resort (MPR), set on 18 acres of lakefront property where Lake Huron meets Lake Michigan, has launched a new program to help groups start the day right.

MPR now offers Sun-Up Sessions for groups, an experience designed to start the day fresh with a distinctly Mackinac experience: take in the sunrise over Lake Huron with a ‘Sun-Up Guide,’ who will meet you with a MPR sweatshirts and thermoses filled with beverage of their choice and house-made Michigan-blueberry muffins.

Following the sunrise, the group heads to the lawn where blankets are laid out where they can relax and enjoy the first part of the new day eating a variety of locally sourced & house-created breakfast specialties–Whitefish Benedict, croissants with artisinal Lavender-Michigan Peach jam, maple-syrup glazed bacon, local apple/peach/pear salad–and Michigan roasted coffee.

The property offers 239 rooms and suites, four restaurants ranging from Italian to "grab and go," and a variety of activities such as horseback riding, golf, tennis, bocce ball and croquet.

For meetings and events, MPR showcases over 38,000 square feet of flexible function space.
