LINCOLN, Neb.
Marcus Hotels & Resorts has completed an $11 million renovation of The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel, in Lincoln, Neb. The entire property was renovated, and new food and beverage concepts and Marriott signature elements were added.
The revitalized lobby, still featuring an ornate staircase, has received a modernized look and feel, emphasizing neutral colors. At the front desk, backlit panels and dark wood accents have been added, and expansive floor-to-ceiling lobby windows now serve as a focal point.
In addition to the significant lobby transformation, other property renovations include all 300 guest rooms, as well as 46,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Newly refurbished guest rooms continue the contemporary theme with elegant carpet, down comforters with fluffy pillows, granite bathroom countertops, modern lighting and artwork that enhances the new design aesthetics. Guests can also enjoy complimentary high-speed internet access, 32-inch flat-screen LCD TVs and work desks with ergonomic chairs.
Ten spacious suites were expanded to offer additional amenities, including a parlor, master bathroom and master closet.
Refurbished event space includes new decor, wall coverings and modern design elements, in addition to new video conferencing technology and high-speed Internet access.
Updates were also made to guest room corridors and the indoor pool, and all elevators were reconfigured with modernized technology. The gift shop was relocated and now provides 24-hour availability of snacks and products to guests.
