NAPLES, Fla.
La Playa Beach & Golf Resort, a beachfront, boutique resort on the Florida Gulf Coast, has announced the completion of its million-dollar meeting and event space overhaul.
The 5,000-square-foot Vanderbilt Ballroom and 3,045-square-foot Bayview Ballroom have been remodeled with a "sunny-chic" design that features natural earth tones and dust wood cypress finish throughout.
Other additions include custom bent-glass chandeliers to accompany adjustable LED lighting, in addition to new carpet, air walls and one-of-a-kind, hand picked art created exclusively for LaPlaya by Southwest Florida-based photographer, R.J. Wiley.
Behind the scenes, meeting planners and event-goers can utilize new technology, including Janus digital displays, indoor/outdoor sound system, Sonos touch screen sound interface systems and a comprehensive Lutron lighting system, as well as an upgraded Wi-Fi network and wireless internet allowing for better connectivity.
Overlooking the multimillion dollar mansions on Vanderbilt Bay, LaPlaya's outdoor Terraces–Vanderbilt (2,000 sq. ft.) and Bayview (1,600 sq. ft.)–were remodeled with wood ceilings accompanied by furniture, drapery, lanterns and fans devised solely for the resort, and they also offer LCD display screens and panoramic bay views suited for cocktail or wedding receptions.
La Playa Beach & Golf Resort, part of the Noble House Hotels & Resorts Collection, is situated on a private white-sand beach overlooking the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It is also home to the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, complete with an 18-hole Bob Cupp golf course.
Designed for more intimate gatherings, the resort offers over 8,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and nearly 4,000 square feet of additional outdoor venues.
