HOUSTON
Featuring new interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Houston skyline, Hotel Derek's redesigned Penthouse Suites are ready to welcome guests.
The 1,200-square-foot suites rest on the top floor of the hotel and were conceptualized by Texas-based design firm Flick Mars in collaboration with Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, an established furniture manufacturer with a retail location near the hotel.
In keeping with the same look from Hotel Derek's other recently renovated guest rooms, the Penthouse interiors feature color tones of storm cloud grey, cream and blue grey, with pops of bold yellows and deep plums mixed with mirrored furnishings and stainless steel fixtures. The suites make for an inviting space to conduct a meeting of up to six.
The new suites also contain a 46-square-foot private balcony so guests can experience the rising or setting sun over Houston's cityscape. Other amenities include two separate entrances, two bathrooms, down bed linens; plus an office space, complimentary Wi-Fi and a wet bar.
Overall, the property has 312 guest rooms and suites and more than 10,000 square feet of event space, including a spacious ballroom and two executive boardrooms.
The Penthouse suite is available at $2,200 per night. Hotel Derek is located in the Uptown entertainment district at the intersection of Westheimer and West Loop 610.
