Choice Hotels International, Inc. and Meyer Jabara Hotels have opened the Cambria Suites White Plains - Downtown. Located at 250 Main Street, the new property is situated in the heart of downtown White Plains, just a short distance north of New York City.
The 130 all-suite hotel is part of a mixed-use development consisting of 35,000 square feet of retail space and two floors of underground parking. On-site retailers, located below the hotel, include: TGI Fridays, Chipotle, Corner Bakery, Wild Fusion Asian Grill and Planet Fitness. The hotel's third-floor lobby features a modern style and comforting fireplaces.
Each suite offers separate living, working and sleeping space, and includes a movable desk.
This six-story mid-rise hotel also includes three versatile meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 60 guests in banquet setting or 120 guests for conferences. In addition, all 2,000 square feet of meeting space is rigged up with high-tech A/V equipment.
The Cambria Suites White Plains is located near several major corporations such as IBM, PepsiCo, MasterCard, Heineken and Merrill Lynch. Nearby attractions include the New York Botanical Garden, Neuberger Museum of Art and Westchester Mall.
The hotel will also offer a contemporary bistro serving a dinner menu comprised of local specialties created by Chef Michael DeMaria; liquor, wine, beer and freshly prepared grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches; and a barista bar featuring coffee and a hot breakfast buffet.
