ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.
The Albuquerque Convention Center recently wrapped up the second phase of a two-part renovation totaling $25 million in improvements, reportedly the venue’s first substantial upgrade project in more than two decades.
Phase II broke ground in October 2013 and includes:
- A new 5,600-square foot-addition consisting of a new large entrance vestibule, small retail space and outdoor deck.
- Inside improvements that include new floor, wall and ceiling finishes, LED lighting and a gas fireplace in the atrium area.
- A completely overhauled Third Street entrance, with a windowed front and a light tower.
The ballroom now features LED lighting that can be programmed in various color blends to suit the occasion, and the improvements also added a boardroom with capacity for 18 attendees.
