The Plano Convention & Visitors Bureau is changing its name and introducing a new logo (pictured), in line with a national trend of tourism offices rebranding to assume more contemporary monikers
The new name, Visit Plano, is consistent with the organization’s existing Web address, VisitPlano.com, and its social media pages – Visit Plano on Facebook, Flickr and YouTube, and @VisitPlano on Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram – some of which have been in place for years.
“In our mission to successfully market Plano as a competitive destination to potential customers, this new identification elevates our brand as fresh and recognizable,” Visit Plano Director Mark Thompson said. “The information world we live in is a very crowded space. It’s important that we be clear and concise with our message to travelers, and Visit Plano does that in just two words.”
The stated mission of Visit Plano is to enhance the economic fabric, tax base and employment opportunities in Plano through destination marketing, facility marketing and support programs.
