LOS CABOS, Baja, Mexico
A popular resort in Los Cabos has announced its new identity as The Resort at Pedregal. The resort, previously known as Capella Pedregal, has ended its affiliation with the Capella brand.
The Resort at Pedregal will aim to remain one of Los Cabos' premier landmark destination resorts. The management change will reportedly have little to no impact on the rest of the property's staff, now under the leadership of interim General Manager, Bob Holland.
An established hotelier, Holland most recently served as general manager at Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront. In addition, Holland has held a number of high profile positions at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, including vice president of openings for the Americas, and at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, including regional VP of operations and VP of human resources.
Previously, Holland was general manager at The Charles Hotel in Boston.
"We extend heartfelt thanks to the resort team for their support working towards making The Resort at Pedregal a success," Holland said. " With many of our continuing team members in place, we will remain the leading destination in Los Cabos, providing the same levels of service and amenities for which we have always been known."
Upon reopening in early 2015, the property will be comprised of 66 rooms and suites, and 21 residential villas on a 24-acre site at the southernmost tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula. It offers a boardroom with flexible space that can also be used for receptions and other functions.
The Resort at Pedregal lies on a 24-acre site at the southernmost tip of Mexico's Baja California Peninsula, and is accessible only by the private Dos Mares tunnel, just minutes from bustling downtown Cabo San Lucas. The resort employs a team of personal assistants who are available around-the-clock to assist guests with their requests. The property features Dos Mares suites, two beachfront villas and the presidential villa and signature spa, Luna y Mar.
