Shane Krige took over as general manager of the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown in December.
He was on the Fairmont's opening team in 2002, but in the interim spent two years as managing director of the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, and joined Fairmont Hotels in 2007 as general manager of The Plaza, a Fairmont-managed property in New York City. Since 2012, he had been served as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, in India.
He began his hospitality career in the Washington, D.C. area more than 22 years ago, as an assistant manager with Marriott Management Services.
