Starwood is set to launch a new meetings property in Mesa, Ariz., on Feb. 26, 2015.
Located in a suburb of Phoenix, the Sheraton Mesa Hotel will rest between the Chicago Cubs’ spring training park and Riverview Park, in the new area of Wrigleyville West. Many shopping and dining options are within walking distance, and Tempe Marketplace is also nearby. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is eight miles away.
The hotel’s 180 guest rooms—including 51 Junior Suites and eight VIP Suites—each feature plush furnishings, wireless high-speed Internet access and a 42-inch flat screen TV.
The one-acre resort-style pool area showcases four swimming pools, two heated wading pools, two hot tubs, cabanas, poolside services, a sundeck area, and modern fire and water features throughout. Other amenities include a Sheraton Fitness center and a full-service salon.
The hotel’s steakhouse includes an appealing wine cellar, and a casually elegant sports-themed restaurant will serve diverse American fare.
More than 37,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function venues will be highlighted by a versatile 12,400-square-foot ballroom. Five additional breakout rooms range from 344 to 971 square feet, and a business center provides support services.
Other function spaces include a 300-seat courtyard and a 5,000-square-foot outdoor reception area that overlooks the pool area from the second floor.
