OAK BROOK/CHICAGO
A prominent Chicago-area events hub is launching a massive makeover that will touch on nearly every aspect of the property.
O’Kelly Kasprak, a Chicago-based architecture and design firm specializing in the hospitality industry, has been awarded the renovation of the 328-room Hilton Chicago Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center in Oak Brook, Ill.
The project will occur in multiple phases over the next two years. The first phase, beginning January 2015, will entail renovation of public spaces including the lobby, restaurants, bar areas, ballrooms and meeting rooms, while the second phase, beginning July 2015, will focus on renovation of all guest rooms. The property, previously a Marriott hotel located at 3500 Midwest Road in Oak Brook, is scheduled for completion in March 2016.
The Hilton Chicago Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center is located on a 150-acre estate that is home to the Audubon-certified 18-hole championship Willow Crest Golf Course, and offers amenities that include a 24-hour Fitness Center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball facilities, a game room and billiard tables. Dining options include The Grille restaurant and bar, Windows Restaurant, and the Lobby Bar and Café.
The Conference Center features 42,000 square feet of event space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom, a 145-seat amphitheater, a tented outdoor pavilion, 39 meeting rooms and a business center.
