ST. HELENA, Calif.
Palmer City-Core, the hospitality firm led by celebrity chef Charlie Palmer, recently announced the groundbreaking of the transformation of Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer, the historic St. Helena property the group acquired in early 2014.
Phase one of the new plan takes the Main House, Harvest Inn’s central building, from standard check-in and common area to a fully revamped reception area, a welcoming bar, and a signature Charlie Palmer restaurant, Harvest Table. In addition to the ground floor updates, a total of four guest rooms are under construction on the second story, and in progress is an updated landscape plan that includes botanical and culinary gardens along with a 24-piece sculpture garden. Phase one, the first of three, is targeted for completion in Spring 2015.
“The Harvest Inn is an enchanting property and our incredible, hands-on team is working diligently to enhance the property’s natural beauty, the guest rooms and common areas, as well as the overall guest experience,” Palmer says. “Each day I watch the changes take place that transport us from a boutique hotel to a full service resort. With the addition of the new accommodations, restaurant, bar and culinary gardens, Harvest Inn is becoming a truly expansive and synergetic resort and I can’t wait to introduce these new components in 2015.”
Focusing on all things Napa Valley, Harvest Table’s food and beverage offerings will aim to provide a refreshed approach to California contemporary farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients predominantly sourced from the property’s culinary gardens and the surrounding areas and seasonal dishes showcasing the true flavors of the local agriculture.
The Napa-centric wine list pays tribute to the great area winemakers and vintners, and the seasonal cocktails feature American crafts spirits with housemade tinctures and syrups, while the beer menu includes a number of Northern California brews and ales.
Plans for transformation phases two and three include the aforementioned four additional guest rooms, new and improved meeting and event spaces and a complete room revamp. Details for these phases will be released in early 2015 along with more information on Harvest Table.
Harvest Inn offers a number of meeting and event spaces, including its Vineyard View Room, offering 1,050 square feet of meeting space for up to 100 seated theatre style and 80 at round tables. The room opens up directly to the outdoor Vineyard Terrace, which adds an additional 1,600 square feet of space to accommodate up to 125 attendees.
